Keeping with the World Tour / Metallica style of gameply... using the Metallica style list for songs, great selection, some of the newer gameplay elements (sustained notes while picking others, etc) made some songs a ton rougher, while it balanced out and made some a ton easier (was really fearing Freya, gave me so much problem in GH2... but was a cake walk in this), also they added in Expert+ drum mode... only played far enough to get to the first E+ song (which is in the third set), was unable to nail it.
Can't believe they removed Megadeth though... but all in all a good game!

Created a new rocker, slapped a tat on him, created a new guitar and band logo, completed a song, with an instrument, slaughtered the ending of a song to end it in red, and slaughtered a song to get to red and brought myself back to pass it... blam 8 achievements and 50gs =P
